Introduction to Dino Depot
Dino Depot (Mod ID: 942024) is the ultimate replacement for vanilla Cryopods. It completely removes the hassle of cryo-sickness, adds extensive automation for breeders, and drastically reduces server lag by safely digitizing your unused tames.
How to Use Dino Depot
Step 1: Crafting the Basics
Learn the "Dino Digitizer" and "Dino Depot Terminal" engrams. The Digitizer is the "gun" you use to capture your dinos, turning them into digitized data cubes that are safely stored in your inventory without expiring.
Step 2: Capturing & Releasing
Equip the Digitizer and left-click on any of your tamed creatures to capture them. To release them, simply equip their specific data cube from your inventory or hotbar, aim at the ground, and throw it.
Step 3: The Depot Terminal
The Terminal acts as a mass-storage vault for your data cubes. You can use the terminal's built-in search filters to sort through hundreds of stored creatures by stat lines, mutations, species, and gender—an absolute necessity for serious breeders.
Step 4: Automation & Passive Gen
When configured via the terminal's radial wheel, it can automatically capture newborn babies in its radius. Additionally, creatures stored inside the terminal can be set to passively generate resources (like Achatina producing paste or Oviraptors generating eggs) without needing to be physically rendered in the world!
Breeding & Storage Tips
- Always store dinos you aren't currently using in the Depot Terminal to improve base FPS.
- Use the Terminal's automated baby capture feature overnight so you never lose a hatching wave.
- Hover over digitized cubes in your inventory to see exact stat point distributions, eliminating the need to guess which stat mutated.
